Today, let’s discover internationals translations of the author Pierre Bottero. We can easily note that Ewilan’s Quest is the most translated trilogy, apart from Germany and South Korea which also translated The Other. Other books not included in the main cycle of P. Bottero, Zouck and A like Association have also been translated. Thus, the labour of spreading P. Bottero’s work internationally it’s still at its starting point. Beside, no country have yet translate The Pact of the Unchained/Shadowalkers (there is no official translation for this word), although this trilogy is considered by many as his best work. On top of that, many translations have not been republished since their first publication, therefore to find the books as new is becoming more and more impossible. Finally, contrary to some newspapers from Bottero’s death, talking about 10 different translations, we found only 8 of them.
We wish to thanks the community of the discord of the Ewilan cartoon by Andarta Pictures, who largely eased the research… Some re-translations of the titles may be uncertain, and sometimes we had to use google translation.
We hope that maybe, the cartoon of Ewilan’s Quest will enlighten Pierre Bottero in 2025, and make publishers all around the world eventually want to translate Pierre Bottero’s work?
