Today, let’s discover international translations of the author Pierre Bottero. We can easily note that Ewilan’s Quest is the most translated trilogy, apart from Germany and South Korea which also translated The Other. Other books not included in the main cycle of P. Bottero, Zouck and A as in Association have also been translated. Thus, the labour of spreading P. Bottero’s work internationally is still at its starting point. Beside, no country has yet translated The Pact of the Unchained/Shadowalkers (there is no official translation for this word), although this trilogy is considered by many as his best work. On top of that, many translations have not been republished since their first publication, therefore to find the books as new is becoming more and more impossible. Finally, unlike some newspapers about Bottero’s death, talking about 10 different translations, we found only 8 of them.
We wish to thank the discord community of the Ewilan cartoon by Andarta Pictures, who largely eased the research… Some re-translations of the titles may be uncertain, and sometimes we had to use google translation.
We hope that, maybe, the cartoon of Ewilan’s Quest will enlighten Pierre Bottero in 2025, and make publishers all around the world eventually want to translate Pierre Bottero’s work?
